Located at our beautiful and welcoming loft studio in Walpole, Massachusetts (just south of Boston) our hands-on workshops of up to ten students offer you the opportunity to explore your singing from every aspect, in any style. These workshops bring out the very best in your singing, performing, and confidence!
Taught by world-renown professionals Jeannie Gagné and Ana Guigui, who are both Berklee Voice professors, songwriters, arrangers, and self-accompanying performers on piano and guitar, this workshop is held in a private, warm and inviting space in Walpole, MA. It is an unusual opportunity to work with two of the leading experts in the field, and is definitely one you won’t want to miss.
Topics will include:
- Healthy singing techniques in all styles
- Use of various styles, authentic to the genre
- Effectiveness of the song, melodic range, lyrics, chord changes, groove
- Styles and healthy vocal technique for:
_ mix voice, belt voice, speech-level singing
_ riffs and runs
_ extending range
_ trouble-shooting vocal issues
_ diction as appropriate to the style
- Performance Skills:
_ self-accompanying, such as on keyboard or guitar
_ movement at the instrument and stationary mic
_ enhancing presence and charisma
_ what to say in between songs in a set
_ managing stage anxiety

We are so fortunate to have special guests coming to teach alongside us during these eight weeks. They include artist and professor Gabrielle Goodman, artist Alisa Amador, professor and artist Alizon Lissance, and artist and professor Marcelle Gauvin.
When and Where: Classes meet every Sunday in Walpole, MA (south of Boston) at the Soundation Loft, from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm, from April 28, 2019 through June 23, 2019 (excluding Sunday 5/18). This workshop is limited to ten students.
Cost: The discounted Early Bird registration is $499 before April 21, 2019. The registration fee is $549 after April 21, 2019.

Singer, award-winning composer, arranger, educator and author Gabrielle Goodman has made an indelible print on the musical world with her CDs and live performances. To date she has recorded four CDs of jazz and soul music that feature her with luminaries in the industry. Goodman has toured the world providing backing vocals for legendary artists like Roberta Flack, Chaka Khan, Freddie Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Patti Labelle and many more. She is Professor of Voice at Berklee College of Music.
Breakout artist Alisa Amador’s music is a synthesis of the many styles she’s voraciously absorbed: rock, jazz and alternative folk, all wrapped in the spirit of the Latin sounds she grew up with. With her soulful singing, poetically incisive lyrics, and syncopated rhythms, her music is likely to make you cry, laugh and dance all within one set.

Assistant professor in Berklee’s Harmony Department since 1997, Alizon Lissance is a well-rounded musician with decades of experience as a multi-keyboard player, vocalist, songwriter, and arranger. She is also a certified Yoga instructor. She has earned regional and national accolades, ranging from critical acclaim in Musician Magazine to receiving a Boston Music Award as Outstanding Keyboardist in 1991. Her CD So What About You is an eclectic collection of original material. She is a founding member of the Love Dogs, an established jump/swing R&B band that has released four CDs and has toured in North America and Europe since 1994. She also keeps busy with freelance recording and performing engagements.
